A woman from Nigeria has recounted how her joy was diminished by low sales, causing her to feel exhausted and discouraged.
The seller of face caps shared her disappointment on social media after failing to make any sales throughout the month of April.
Hat seller expresses disappointment over sluggish business
Even though she tried her hardest, the woman known as @crowning_personalities on TikTok didn’t manage to make a single sale all month, which left her feeling discouraged.
The substantial amount she spent on her online ad campaign did not result in any noticeable outcomes for her business.
She had put significant resources into promoting herself across multiple social media channels, yet the outcomes were disappointing.
The costs of advertising only compounded her troubles, making her question whether the expenditure had been worthwhile.
As per her statement, she had delved into various alternatives to enhance her business operations, such as attempting to connect with an influencer for a possible partnership.
Nevertheless, her minimal online profile, boasting less than 200 followers, turned out to be an obstacle.
The influencer couldn’t seize the chance because her desire for a bigger audience left her wanting more followers.
She observed that her poor sales performance and inadequate marketing efforts had significantly impacted her, causing feelings of being overwhelmed and socially detached.
When she gazed forward to May, anxiety overshadowed her optimism instead. The challenges from the prior month had left her exhausted, and she harbored doubts regarding the prospects of her enterprise.
In her words:
I genuinely feel unenthusiastic about this upcoming May. April was incredibly draining as I didn’t make a single sale despite putting in effort every day. It’s disheartening to put in so much work without seeing any outcomes. There was also an occasion where I could’ve connected with an influencer during their live stream to promote my items, yet I missed that chance due to having only 182 followers instead of needing over 1000. This situation truly feels tiring.
I’m feeling overwhelmed rather than excited because I’m exhausted from dealing with all this weight, particularly since there’s nobody to share these wild experiences with. Just last month, I invested $122,000 in advertisements across TikTok and Instagram engagement groups, but nothing seems to be paying off.

I similarly do not count on improved sales in the coming month, nor have I mistakenly sent $30,200 to another person’s account; I felt incredibly upset because those funds were intended for buying essentials for my child, which left me feeling very disheartened at present.
