VDM’s mother reported that GT Bank has been deducting money from her account continuously since January of this year without her initiating any transactions. To investigate the issue, VDM accompanied his mother to the bank where they were informed she had taken out a loan. However, subsequently, the bank claimed that someone had utilized VDM’s mother’s National Identity Number (NIN) to obtain the loan, leading to the ongoing withdrawals. Unbeknownst to VDM, GT Bank reached out to officials at Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), who then apprehended him.

Dear Fada Mazi, when the government starts using individuals like VeryDarkMan, I hope you’ll also speak up against it. This is similar to how Reno Omokri expressed his concerns at first; now, he has been won over.
I do not align with the oppressors nor do I support the oppressed, as the events might be staged.

What good does it do to deprive others of their sustenance? Let’s use our wisdom rather than giving in to emotion… Many have built lives through dedication and effort over the years. The well-being of numerous individuals relies on this. Consider your actions carefully before proceeding.

“Agitation remains agitation. If someone loses their job due to GTB actions, so be it. It’s important for people to start pointing out wrongdoings without getting caught up in unproductive emotional reactions. Some argue that jobs might be lost, but my question is: Should we stay silent and let this chaos continue unchecked? Allowing such issues to go unnoticed means our brothers and sisters could still lose their jobs. I’m with you, Padre. Let GTB face consequences so they can teach everyone else a lesson. In Nigeria, anything seems possible.”

Father, you’ve made a mistake here this time; what you’re saying isn’t correct. Even though I disagree with how EFCC had him detained, let’s remember that VDM, whom we often support, has also been inaccurate in some of his statements.
