A representative of the ministry indicated that all content posted from the hacked account should be regarded as fraudulent and hold no official weight.
Information Technology and Telecom Minister Shiza Fatima also confirmed the breach through her official channels.
The cyberattack occurs against the backdrop of increased strain between Pakistan and India after the Pahalgam assault.
Regarding the intensifying scenario, the National Cyber Emergency Response Team has already released an alert concerning possible cyber hazards.
