(Hohoe, V/R) – On May 8th, the Nightingale Hospital from Marylebone, London made a generous donation of multiple boxes filled with medical supplies to the Volta Regional Hospital located in Hohoe. This contribution aims at improving the provision of high-quality healthcare services.
They comprised seven boxes of face shields, fourteen boxes of surgical masks, three boxes of surgical gowns, five boxes of various needles, syringes, IV lines, and sanitizers along with one box of disposable gloves.
Mr. Hehetror Senyo, representing the healthcare institution based in London, made the recent contribution. This follows an initial donation by Ms. Freda Agyemang-Hehetror back in July 2023.
He mentioned that the contribution from Ms. Agyemang-Hehetror, who works at the Nightingale Hospital, drew attention from the facility itself, leading them to decide on donating resources to the Volta Regional Hospital as well.
Mr Hehetror stated that the backing from the Hospital for Madam Agyemang-Hehetror was an act of kindness that would enhance various aspects of healthcare service provision at the facility.
He expressed his hope that with the items donated, the Volta Regional Hospital could improve its operations.
Mrs. Esther Kporwofe, the Nursing Manager at Volta Regional Hospital in Hohoe, accepted the donated items and conveyed her gratitude to the benefactors on behalf of both hospital administration and personnel.
She mentioned that the items would be utilized effectively and efficiently for the provision of high-quality healthcare services in the region.
