Brad Arnold, the vocalist of the American rock group 3 Doors Down, has disclosed that he has been informed he has stage four kidney cancer.
The 46-year-old said
in an Instagram video
He mentioned having “renal cell carcinoma with clear cells that have spread to my lungs,” and added, “This is stage four, which isn’t very promising.”
In the early 2000s, the group achieved significant success with hit tracks such as “Kryptonite,” “Here Without You” and “It’s Not My Time.” They have also moved over 13 million album copies within the United States.
Now, I truly think ‘It’s Not My Time’ is my song,” Arnold penned for his followers in the attached caption. “We’re entering into a fight, so let’s all be prayer warriors!
3 Doors Down originated from Mississippi and gained prominence with their song “Kryptonite,” which climbed to number three on the charts in the United States in 2000.
Their first studio album, “The Better Life,” ranked as the 11th best-selling album of that year in their native land.
In 2002, they made their comeback into the top five with the releases of “Here Without You” and “When I’m Gone.” They then achieved a US number-one album with ‘Seventeen Days’ in 2005 followed by their self-titled album in 2008.
They also played at President Trump’s inaugural ceremony in 2017.
In his video, the singer and drummer stated: “The truth is, we serve the Almighty God, who can conquer everything. Therefore, I have nothing to fear. I genuinely do not feel afraid of this at all.”
However, it will compel us to cancel our summer tour, and we apologize for this inconvenience.
I would really appreciate it if you could pray for me whenever you have the opportunity, and perhaps now might be a good time for me to spend some listening to ‘It’s Not My Time,’ don’t you think?
Clear cell renal carcinoma is the most prevalent form of kidney cancer, with stage four being the most critical as it indicates that the disease has metastasized to another area of the body.
