Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday expressed satisfaction over a significant 31% increase in remittances during the first ten months of the fiscal year 2025, compared to the same period last year.
According to the Prime Minister, remittances reached a record-high level of $31.2 billion between July 2024 and April 2025 the highest ever in Pakistan’s history.
Terming the surge as a reflection of overseas Pakistanis’ unwavering patriotism and their confidence in the country’s economic policies, Shehbaz Sharif lauded their vital contributions.
‘Overseas Pakistanis are playing a central role in the development of our economy,’ he stated.
He added that the Government of Pakistan remains fully committed to driving economic growth and implementing policies that foster stability and prosperity.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the government values the support of the Pakistani diaspora and will continue to create more avenues for them to contribute to national progress.
