Vietnam Airlines has redirected multiple flights heading to Europe following Pakistan’s sudden closure of its airspace, deeming this step necessary to guarantee passenger and crew safety.
The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority stated that the temporary shutdown would commence at 2:55 a.m. on May 7 (in Vietnamese time). As a result, Vietnam Airlines redirected multiple flights on that date, particularly those linking Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with key European cities like Frankfurt, Paris, and London.
The airline mentioned that additional route modifications might occur based on the progression of the regional circumstances. They are carefully tracking information from official sources and will immediately inform travelers who are impacted about any fresh alterations.
Although the updated flight paths might result in extended journey durations and increased expenses, the airline stressed that safety continues to be their primary concern at all times.
Travelers are advised to review the most recent information through Vietnam Airlines’ official site at vietnamairlines.com, their Facebook page, or by phoning the Customer Care Hotline at 1900 1100. For customers located in the U.K., France, Germany, and Russia, contacting local ticket offices for support is also an option.
