The team travels to Paris aware that they must secure a victory to make it to their first Champions League final in 19 years, following last week’s 1-0 loss at the Emirates.

This season, PSG has shown remarkable form, having defeated Liverpool and Aston Villa during the Champions League knockouts, and clinched the Ligue 1 championship with six matches remaining.

Alisson’s outstanding performance and Harvey Elliott’s late goal gave the Premier League winners a narrow 1-0 advantage heading into the second leg of their last-16 encounter. However, Luis Enrique’s team staged an impressive comeback, eliminating Liverpool from European competition with a thrilling victory in the subsequent penalty shootout at Anfield.

Salah expressed his admiration for the French team, who are aiming to secure their first Champions League title.

Before their upcoming semi-final match, the Egyptian forward shared his thoughts.
L’Equipe
They are considered the ‘top team in Europe’.

‘I must be completely truthful; PSG put up an excellent performance in the first leg. We were extremely fortunate that
Alisson
probably had his best game ever with the team; they really couldn’t have been more unfortunate.

Next, they arrived at Anfield. It was really unfortunate for us as we struck the upright two or three times.

That match truly ended with an even split. It’s hard to tell who had the upper hand. Our performance improved significantly in the second half. Similarly, they dominated considerably during the first half.

‘None of us here would claim we fully deserve it.’

Salah, having netted 33 goals and contributed 23 assists across 49 games in various competitions this season, shared that he encouraged PSG’s squad to ‘go ahead and clinch’ the Champions League title.

“It was their special day, so I shook their hands and told their players, ‘Congratulations, go out there and win.’ That’s all,” he stated.

‘That match was against the top team in Europe.’

Declan Rice has told Paris Saint-Germain that Arsenal aren’t intimidated by them and has encouraged his teammates to produce a ‘magical moment’.

During the initial encounter, Mikel Merino saw his goal chalked off due to an offside call; however, Paris nearly hit the crossbar with a late attempt in what was largely their attacking showcase.

This puts the north London team in a challenging position tonight; however, they feel confident about overcoming this hurdle due to their recent strong showings in European away games.

At the Phillips Stadium, Arsenal thrashed PSV Eindhoven with a score of 7-1 during the round of 16, then went on to defeat the 15-time European champions Real Madrid at their home ground, the Santiago Bernabéu, in the quarterfinals.

Rice stated, “In our second UEFA Champions League match, we defeated PSG 2-0. The squad was largely unchanged except for Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.”

‘Since everyone else began and we emerged victorious, there’s nothing to be afraid of. As I mentioned earlier, scoring within the first three minutes likely gave us quite a surprise and altered the ambiance significantly.’

However, after regaining our position within the game, we began generating opportunities. We were completely confident that victory was achievable.

Clearly, things didn’t work out as planned, but our experience and knowledge as a group make us confident that tonight we have what it takes to achieve something truly exceptional. We firmly believe that we deserve to be competing at this level.

We must demonstrate courage and determination when performing on the largest platform, proving our readiness for this caliber of competition.
