A premier forest-themed entertainment destination, the We-Ape Mega Zipline and Adventure Park, has launched in Aburi, providing exciting outdoor activities for thrill-seekers, families, and groups across a sprawling 3.5-acre tropical rainforest area.

As the latest entrant into Ghana’s outdoor recreational landscape, We-Ape offers a distinctive environment where nature enthusiasts and thrill-seekers across all age groups can partake in enjoyable and unforgettable experiences.

The park offers two thrilling obstacle courses: a Family Course that caters to both children and grown-ups, and a Fitness Course tailored for an engaging aerial workout aimed at those seeking a rigorous physical test.

Every course features an array of captivating activities including canopy tours, aerial tram rides, various rope challenges, and thrilling zip lines, all set amidst the stunning natural setting of the rainforest.

We-Ape also features contemporary conference spaces, a café serving meals and beverages, and an expansive area suitable for team sports and collective activities. This venue is perfect for corporate team-building sessions, external conferences, orientation programs, instructional workshops, and various other gatherings.

Furthermore, they have implemented an educational initiative focused on environmental awareness for schools. By leveraging the lush rainforest surroundings, this program seeks to foster a deeper sense of connection and reverence towards nature among students.

The park celebrated its formal inauguration with a ribbon-cutting event on May 6th, which was graced by local authorities and tourism professionals in Aburi.

We-Ape has been a long-term dream for us, taking several years to come to fruition,” stated William Adzraku, the park’s Executive Director. “We are excited to present something innovative, genuinely top-tier, and distinctly unique compared to what else can be found in Ghana.

Emma Wenani, the Managing Director of Global Media Alliance Ghana, stated as Guest of Honor: “As the world becomes increasingly urbanized and digitized, places such as We-Ape are growing ever more significant. These areas serve as reminders of nature’s splendor, offering respite from our hectic lifestyles and opportunities for education, enjoyment, and environmental stewardship. It is my privilege to attend this launch and I look forward to exploring further what We-Ape provides. This initiative goes beyond being merely an event—it represents a movement.”

Dr. Jones Quartey, who teaches at the University of Ghana and counts among his graduates the creators of the environmental education initiative, also offered his insights:

The abundant natural surroundings of We-Ape coupled with the significant investment in educational resources ensure that the study program will greatly influence participants.

No matter if you’re seeking a thrilling and outdoor experience solo or with a group, or a distinctive location for your company’s gathering, We-Ape offers something for all tastes.
