US Dollar Hits Rs 136.03; Euro Reaches Rs 154.63 in Latest International Exchange Rates

On May 8, the Nepal Rastra Bank announced the official foreign exchange rates for today. As stated by the central bank, the purchase price for one US dollar stands at NPR 135.43, whereas the sell-off rate is set at NPR 136.03.

The euro is currently trading at Rs 153.95 for purchase and Rs 154.63 for sale, whereas the British Pound Sterling is available at Rs 180.80 when purchasing and Rs 181.60 when selling. For the Swiss Franc, the buy rate stands at Rs 164.37 and the sell rate at Rs 165.09.

The value of the Australian dollar stands at Rs 87.70 for buying and Rs 88.09 for selling, whereas the Canadian dollar trades at Rs 98.19 when bought and Rs 98.63 when sold. Additionally, the Singapore dollar has been priced at Rs 104.92 for purchases and Rs 105.39 for sales.

The UAE dirham is quoted at Rs 36.87 for buying and Rs 37.04 for selling, whereas the Malaysian ringgit goes from Rs 31.85 (for buying) up to Rs 32.09 (for selling). Additionally, one hundred South Korean won exchanges between Rs 9.73 (when bought) and Rs 9.78 (upon sale); meanwhile, the Swedish krona fluctuates within Rs 14.11 (buy price) and Rs 14.17 (sell price), with the Danish krone ranging between Rs 20.63 (purchase rate) and Rs 20.72 (sale rate).

The Hong Kong dollar trades at Rs 17.45 for buying and Rs 17.53 for selling, the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 441.74 for buying and Rs 443.70 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 359.20 for buying and Rs 360.79 for selling, and the Omani riyal at Rs 351.77 for buying and Rs 353.33 for selling. For the Indian rupee per 100 units, the exchange rate stands at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The Nepal Rastra Bank has indicated that it might adjust these exchange rates whenever necessary. Various commercial banks could provide differing rates, with the most current figures accessible on the official website of the central bank.
